Can I have an electric hook up?
Sadly, this is very unlikely. The on-site electrician’s job is to ensure services to the meeting marquees and main dining facilities. However, if you need to use a fridge or freezer, these are provided in the self-catering marquee (please label your food).
What food is available on site?
Bread and milk can be bought daily from the Coffee Shop. Breakfast and lunch are also available there, and evening meals can be ordered in advance each day. After the evening meetings the Moonlight Diner has a wide range of hot snacks including kebabs, curries and pizzas, there is also a Chippy. The Tuck Shop sells sweets, crisps, drinks and fruit and is open after every meal time.
Can I put more than one tent on my pitch?
Pitches measure 12ft x 18ft approx, therefore anything you can fit into this space is acceptable. However, if you need more space than this, please book a Supersize pitch which is half as big again. (Please note, we only have a limited number of these plots).
Where can I park?
This year, all parking will be in designated parking areas, so unless loading/unloading you will not be able to park next to your pitch (unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case you can request a special pass to display). Visitors must also park in the car parks.
Are there any discounts ?
Yes – the One Parent Family rate. There is also a £10 discount for anyone booking a fortnight. There are reductions for workers and their dependants, please phone 0113 243 7910 for more details.
Can I book for a few days rather than a week?
Yes, but we will have to charge you for a full week in order to cover our overheads.
Can I book a pitch for the Middle Weekend only?
We expect the camp to be full for both week 1 and week 2, therefore cannot normally accept bookings for the middle weekend only, as all plots will be occupied. Please contact the Bookings Secretary if you want to discuss this further (01904 767764).
Can I be sited near friends/family?
You can request this on the booking form and we will do our level best!
Can I bring a dog to camp?
Yes, but it must be kept on a lead on the camp site. You will be asked to take responsibility for your dog at all times, and may be asked to remove it from the site if it causes a nuisance. The same rule applies to any dog owners who visit you.
Is it OK for friends/family to visit me during camp?
Yes. If they are coming to stay in your tent/caravan, please get them to fill in a self-catering booking form and return it to the Bookings Secretary so that we have their details. There will be no additional charge if they are staying in your self-catering accommodation, but a donation towards the running costs of camp would be appreciated.
Day Visitors will need to fill in a Day Visitor’s form (you can download one from web site), to be handed in at Security on arrival.
All visitors with cars, will be issued with a car pass which should be displayed clearly at all times.
