What is the minimum age for Campers?
Campers must be aged 9 or over, to come as a fully-catered camper. In addition to this, those aged 9 and 10 must be accompanied by a group leader from their church – the leader will be expected to take responsibility for them at all times and to supervise them at meal times. If you are a leader considering bringing 9 & 10 year olds, please contact the Bookings Secretary for more information. Campers aged 11 and over can come to camp unaccompanied, we provide leaders, tents, meals and new friends!
My Child has special needs/a health problem/behavioural problem, can he/she still come to camp?
We want to ensure that all children are safe whilst at camp, so please do discuss this with the Bookings Secretary on 01904 767764 before a booking is made. Whilst all campers are supervised by Camp Leaders, we cannot guarantee the level of support that some children may require. A medical form will be sent out for all campers, and we do ask that you tell us about any allergies, asthma, medication, etc.
Do you cater for vegetarians/special diets?
We don’t cater specifically for vegetarians, however, there is a wide choice of food at mealtimes, so campers should normally be able to make vegetarian choices. We cannot cater for special diets.
Can I bring my own tent?
Yes. If friends who are attending camp, are going to be sharing this with you, please state this on your booking form.
Will Camp provide a tent for me?
Yes, tents will be provided if you request this on the booking form.
Will I have to share a tent with people I don’t know?
There is room on the booking form for you to state the names of friends you would like to share with. However, if you are allocated space in a large tent, other campers of your age group from other churches may be sharing with you.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will be sent a list of essentials to bring.
How much money should I bring?
£3.00 a day should be plenty for sweets, chips etc. You may want to bring change for the payphone. There may be optional trips organised, cost around £6. You should deposit your money in the Camp bank on arrival, you can then draw it out daily as you need it, the bank is open after each meal. Please do not leave money in your tent!
Can I bring my iPod/PSP/walkman?
We would discourage you from bringing expensive items of equipment with you as there is nowhere that you can store them securely and we can’t be held responsible if they go missing. If you do bring a mobile phone, please make sure it’s clearly marked with your name.
