Fraisthorpe Camp!
Another year, Fraishtorpe camp is here green fields, blue sky, blustery wind, canvas flappin, crashing waves, bats squeaking, tents & caravans appearing.
Music blasting out, time to wake up to the wake up call.
Time for breakfast, don’t be late or you’ll be there in your sleeping bag.
Bacon, egg, scrambled, fried, tomato, mushrooms sausages too.
Yuk, grease ‘n’ grime pot wash is here. Pots ‘n’ pans, big ‘n’ small all needs cleaning to a shine.Ten o’clock meeting’s here, games, worship ‘n’ fun. Art ‘n’ craft workshop, lots to make gluing, sticking and cards too.
Growly tummies coming for lunch salads, sandwiches, pot noodles too. Fish & chips, pub lunch too much to choose from.
Tuck shop open the queue is long hurry up, beach party leaving me behind.Afternoon fun, time to meet friends old & new. Time to chat, catch up, and lounge in the sun. Boats & surfers on the horizon catchin’ waves & fishes too.
Late afternoon tide is changing, cold breeze arising, beach disappearing, music calling tea time’s here hungry tummies appearing again Lasagne, chips, chicken & veg. Beef Stew, dumplings, all gone again.
Time to get ready, feet washed, teeth brushed, hair done make up too. Collect friends, meetings here time to play games, learn new songs. Listen to the word, the word of God I wonder who’s Preaching?
Time to respond to the wake up call, listen to God’s voice in the depth of your heart. Listen to God & for fill your callings don’t waste time, it’s in God’s hands. After meeting’s, tummies delights. Pizza, chips, bacon butties, hot chocolate too. Squirty cream marshmallows all gooey crowded marquee, bookstall, music, talking and laughter too.
Day’s nearly done, late night entertainment with Shelley & Mark.G. too.
Road show, games, quiz night, films, karaoke too.
Time please 11o’clock curfew Fraishtorpe villagers want peace again. Until a new day tomorrow & it all starts again, with music blasting & wake up call again.
